South Coast

Didn’t pay much attention to exactly where we were, but I’m pretty sure this was south of Port Orford… the clouds were doing magical things. The fog crept in around Port Orford.

Oh goodness. My 1,000th post! O_o

Knowledge would be fatal. It is the uncertainty that charms one. A mist makes things wonderful.

    • Amazing how all those posts add up in time. Glad you enjoyed the shot, but WP didn’t tell me it was my 1000th until I’d published. Otherwise I might have tried for fireworks or something! 😀

  1. Congratulations Gunta.
    A very worthy milestone.

Great capture. There’s something about fog that leads to mystery and wonder.
Interesting catching the foreground in the sunlight, behind that shadow and further back, the fog.

    • Thanks so much for the visit and comment. That fog creeping in off the ocean is pretty common here in the summertime, though it often blots out the sunsets when it gets heavy enough.

  2. Congrats on your 1000th post! And what a beautiful picture to celebrate it with. The flowers in the foreground are gorgeous. I love the different layers…flowers, rocks and waves, and the wispy clouds in the sky.

    • I haven’t had much time for photography or blogging lately. Life just seems to go through some pretty heavy busy streaks at times, but this one was just crying out to be photographed. I’m glad it captured the moment as well as it did! Thank you, as always, for your lovely visits and sweet comments!
