spring green

My favorite shade of new growth.green-1749

Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts. There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature — the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter.

  1. One has to admire the determination of those spring buds that appear with such dogged determination, knowing full well that around here they could be buried in a late spring snow.

  2. I really like this quote of Rachel Carson’s, and live by it too. And your focusing on the new “candle” of growth and its exquisite color is lovely Gunta. Don’t you just want to reach out and touch this fresh and soft new growth? 🙂

    • Thanks so much, Jet. I think Rachel Carson’s quote is an excellent one to live by. I’m always drawn to that very special shade of green that signals the arrival of spring with its new growth. Hard to truly capture the essence of it (much like that sunshine glow of the California poppies), but I keep trying.
