Meandering with camera…
Found some new (to me) visitors at the high school swimming pool. Actually it’s a field across from the school that floods every winter. 😉
A Cinnamon Teal
A Green-winged Teal — aren’t they pretty?
Beautiful birds. Their colors are really amazing.
Thanks to my special bloggy friend, I have these marvelous birds pointed out to me now. Ones I never would have noticed before he came along.
Very nice photos! I almost never see the Cinnamon teal, but we have Green-winged teals that winter on a lake nearby. I love the coloring on them, in breeding season and out of it.
Thank you, Lynn. I haven’t paid much attention to the various ducks until recently. It’s special having someone pick out the different kinds there are. Who knew?
Very pretty but about Victor Hugo??
Oooops… I seem to have dropped the quote by mistake. My bad!
They are very pretty. 🙂
Very pretty indeed. 🙂
Great shots. These ducks are fascinating.
Aren’t they simply beautiful?
Good finds! Nicely done.
Thanks, Phil. You’ve certainly been an inspiration!
They are indeed Gunta! 🙂
Hadn’t seen a cinnamon teal before. They’re both gorgeous.
Neither had I and, yes, they are gorgeous!
You’d better be careful, a person can get hooked trying to get photos of waterfowl. 😉 They are some of our most beautiful birds, as your photos show.
I think I’ve been hooked already. They are fascinating and I seem to be in a rather good spot to catch them… at least during the winter and spring.
They are so amazing in their detail!
They hardly look real.
Those are gorgeous birds, Gunta. Nice photos!
Who knew there were such amazing birds?
