beach walks

I never get tired of walking on the beach with its ever changing moods.

Our ability to perceive quality in nature begins, as in art, with the pretty. It expands through successive stages of the beautiful to values as yet uncaptured by language.

  1. Another one of your shots that looks like you’ve been travelling to other planets! When I was a teenager I read C S Lewis’s ‘Perelandra’ (aka ‘Voyage to Venus) and your photo is just how I imagined the seas of Venus from Lewis’s description. Stunning.

  2. Ah, that quote explains how I’ve been feeling lately when trying to describe some experiences in nature. I just can’t find the words to express my emotions. When I lived by the beach I wanted to roam the shores endlessly so I agree with you about not tiring of its changing moods. It was just as appealing during rough weather as on a perfectly calm day!
