a Mojave hike

I couldn’t think of a better way to spend Valentine’s Day. We hiked out away from the campground to catch the sunset that evening. Wishing we had stayed there another night. It was peaceful and heavenly.

I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority.

    • There’s something magical about the way the desert air seems to add to sunrise and sunset colors. I took a peek at your blog and it struck me that you mostly do black and white. I can’t seem to live in a world without color, so tend to skip those who want to see things as black and white. It’s just my thing… nothing wrong with your photography. 🙂

  1. Wow! What a stunningly beautiful sunset. (I apologize for comment-bombing you, but I didn’t want to miss a moment of your trip and am trying to get caught up today.)

    • No apology necessary. I love getting comments. Sadly, I never did catch up after being away from the internet for about 3 weeks and then being sick for awhile. All those blogs and emails to catch up on can be daunting. I’m nearing the end of the trip (the blogging part), but have been having some serious sinus issues, so don’t know when I’ll manage to finish up.
