I’m baaack…

Found on the way home from a heavenly tour of Oregon, California, Arizona and even a bit of Mexico….Marines-0681This was somewhere in southern Oregon. There’s quite a bit of detail here. Hopefully the slide show (click on any image) shows the bits.

Have lots to show from two weeks worth of wonderful scenery.

There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered.

  1. We noticed when we moved west that there’s much more of this kind of thing in the west than we saw back east. Sounds like you had quite a trip! Looking forward to seeing/hearing about it. Or reading I guess!

    • Thanks, Jerry. It was all great fun and what a wonderful land we live in (photographically speaking)! You won’t believe the blizzard of white snow geese we ran into at Klamath Falls. One of the most amazing sights I’ve ever witnessed.

  2. Welcome back! I’ve missed your beautiful pics and quotes but I’m extremely glad you’ve had a wonderful trip away and I am looking forward to seeing pics of your travels. I’ve noticed some very unusual mailboxes and artwork on properties in rural areas west of here and I always have to stop and take pics. Some are very amusing and ckever like these ones you’ve shared. You sound excited and happy. I’m so pleased you had an amazing trip. I assume it was much warmer? 🙂

    • Thanks so much! Now comes the bit of sorting through it all… not only photos, but trying to catch up with posts and comments and replies which was impossible with very iffy internet connections.

    • So sorry we missed seeing you, but we DID wave as we zoomed on past. This country of ours is utterly jaw dropping gorgeous. Can’t wait to share some of the shots with you guys!

  3. I sure have been wondering when we’d hear (see) from you again! Welcome back, and I can’t wait to see what you’ve found.

ps – Love the Mandela quote. It is so true.

    • Thank you… it’s good to be back though the trip was utterly amazing and loads of fun. Don’t know how long it’ll take to wade through and sort the pics from the trip.
Mandela was a wise man indeed.

    • This was just one of those fun things to find along the road. Trying to identify the various parts used in the roadside art/sculpture was fun in itself. Sadly the snapshots I took don’t entirely give it justice.
