I can see for miles

A typical pose often seen around here…ShoreAcres-9023There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more
George Gordon Byron

  1. Hi Gunta. This is a beautiful quote which I’ve shared with others since reading it on your blog. I lived by the sea for some years in my youth and loved spending many hours on my own on the cliffs and beach. I loved the roar of a wild ocean during rough weather and the peace and tranquility of calmer days. So your pic and quote resonated with me. Thanks. 🙂

    • Thanks, Lavinia. It’s at a State Park called Shore Acres. It has these marvelous rocky cliffs right at the edge of the ocean, beach access and a grand formal garden complete with a Japanese style pond. A truly magical place. Can’t forget that it’s where the spectacular waves crash hundreds of feet into the air when there’s a storm surge. What more could you ask for?
