Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor

In my opinion this is the very best part of the Oregon Coast. Not only for it’s beautiful views of seastacks and cliffs and bluffs along a gorgeous ocean. The views are terrific, but it’s also relatively peaceful since it’s not easily reached from large urban areas as are the beaches up north.SoCoast-6200Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires some of the same courage that a soldier needs. Peace has its victories, but it takes brave men and women to win them.

  1. Gunta, you’ve brought us another scene which invites us to find our way to it, and then lose ourselves in it. Beautiful. I appreciate the quote also.

    • Thank you, Vicki. I thank my lucky stars for landing here. But then I’ve been fortunate in many of the places I’ve lived including the Sierra and Rocky mountains. Also scenic wonderlands.

    • I treasure this scenic and beautiful corner of the earth. I chose the quote as a reminder to myself. Apparently it’s striking a chord in several others.

  2. Alright, this does it. As soon as the chicken coop crew is done and gone back to Arkansas I’m heading down that way!
Your framing of the shot is great…

    • This was taken a couple of weeks ago. Today we’re pushing past 80º down near the coast. Not our typical weather at all. Not good given the drought conditions making everything so dry with the 4th fireworks about to start.
