the fog of summer
Summer generally brings more fog to the beach, some call it the marine layer. It has something to do with the difference of temperature between the ocean and the air. It also has a lot to do with why tourists complain about how cold it is here and in San Francisco in the summertime. The folks of San Francisco brag about their natural air conditioning when that summer fog rolls in. Not being a huge fan of hot weather, it suits me just fine.Normally the fog bank comes rolling in from the horizon and blots out any chance of color at sunset. This particular evening, it was the clouds overhead trying to hide the sunset colors, but spots of color still leaked through.
Three things can not hide for long: the Moon, the Sun and the Truth.
