Or life outside of blogging….  I’m choosing some random (mostly recent) shots from my yard, because I have to slow down on the blogging for a bit. In no particular order:

  1. They’re wonderful! The volunteers – I can’t think of the name, but I remember the first time I saw that plant, growing on a wall in a very nice part of NYC – I love that plant! The intricate, blue flowers and the charming way the leaves drape across things. I’m glad you’re enjoying what’s close at hand.

  2. Sweet little ladybird. I haven’t seen one for quite a while. They used to be so plentiful in the area I grew up in. My sister and I used to collect food for them. 🙂 The poppy is gorgeous, and I’ve always been fascinated by dandelion clocks.

    • I remember trying to feed the ladybirds, too. They are so sweet and they tickle, too! I planted some winter vegetables and had quite a few aphids, so I think that made my ladybirds happy (without me feeding them). I noticed the sun was hitting those poppy petals just right, so had to give them a “shot”. I’ve never heard them called dandelion clocks, but it makes perfect sense. They ARE fascinating.

  3. Well we can’t do everything in life. Lovely to see your spring pictures, they bring such a lift to the spirits. Spring is only just really getting going here now in Latvia. Oh yes! My favourite is that little ladybird in the middle, perfect alignment and a lovely contrast with the more bluey green colour of the leaf.
