a last sunset before a return to light…..Bandon-0603Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.

    • The light was pretty impressive that night. Alas, I can’t help but think of the stupendous nights I missed as I watched from the window at home. Now that I’m starting to feel a wee bit better, of course it’s back to grey and dreary. sigh

    • Those sea stacks (as we call them out here) really add a lot of interest to the beach scenes. The critters like them, too. It’s a protected area for a wide variety of birds and seals and sea lions.

    • I was rather glad to see that golden glow myself. It’s finally warming up a bit. I’m feeling better, too… whether those two are related, or not, I’m just grateful either way.

      • Ha! Not the first time that has been brought to my attention. When taking my students on a plant ID walk, I would often begin my field lecture with something like “This is Red Oak, my all-time favorite tree …”. And one of the students would say (politely of course) “but Mr. Hunter, you said the last tree that we covered was your all-time favorite!?”. …right….shut up and take notes. 🙂
