suddenly a replay of summer for a day
I seem to find it a bit odd when the sun is shining full blast and it’s actually too warm at the beach. Not even the hint of a breeze to move the aroma of the drying kelp…Perhaps even odder were the folks without shirts, much less sweats or jackets… and even wading in the water. Now that’s an unusual sight. I couldn’t take it and didn’t stay long, but I bet there were plenty out there actually enjoying the bizarre stifling heat. But the sparkles on the water were reward enough for the visit.
If I were to wish for anything, I should not wish for wealth and power, but for the passionate sense of the potential, for the eye which, ever young and ardent, sees the possible. Pleasure disappoints, possibility never. And what wine is so sparkling, what so fragrant, what so intoxicating, as possibility!
