Our history in two minutes

I don’t often post videos, but I was impressed enough with this final project by a high school student to want to share it:

Where does one go from a world of insanity? Somewhere on the other side of despair.
― T.S. Eliot

  1. This was so amazing I watched it three times after the tears of the first view! Should be on YouTube ASAP if not already.!! Opps, I see it is ! Bravo !

  2. Loved the emphasis of some of the pics with the music….the speed of the music with the flipping of the photos. The pause with Hitler seemed then to hit a downward spiral overall……and with the new technology depicted seemed to show “cheapness”.

    • The whole thing was put together brilliantly from the images to the music. Utterly amazing. Not so sure about the ‘cheapness’ factor, it is the way things started out after all.

  3. Your T.S. Elliott quote struck me, I thought about it for quite some time. Love, and joy, and even hope are all around us. It is true that as a species we are capable of horrible cruelty, but we are also capable of immeasurable generosity and hope. When Flight 92 went down in Pennsylvania it was a statement about how much we are capable of doing for our fellow man.

    • T.S. Elliott has been a long time favorite poet of mine. He can have his dark side, too as in the poem “The Hollow Men”
…This is the way the world ends Not with a bang but a whimper.
