sharing the beach

horses-7731It’s been awhile since I’ve done this, but it’s a fun way to enjoy the beach.

Passion is passion. It’s the excitement between the tedious spaces, and it doesn’t matter where it’s directed…It can be coins or sports or politics or horses or music or faith…the saddest people I’ve ever met in life are the ones who don’t care deeply about anything at all.

  1. Did you ever see the movie, “The Black Stallion”? It’s based upon Walter Farley’s book, one that I loved as a young boy and enjoyed again as an adult. Anyway…the 1979 movie has several scenes where the beautiful horse is running on the shore of the deserted island where the boy and horse have washed-up after their ship went down in a storm. The scenes are incredible…if you get the chance to check it out.

I like the image, Gunta…it looks very inviting out there on horseback….

    • Vaguely remember the movie from way, way back….. might try to see if I can order it up again. It is fun riding on the beach, but likely a bit past my comfort level these days. but there are horses on the beach quite often.

  2. Breathtaking image! Funny but this reminds me of my one and only time horseback riding on the beach…out of the blue, my horse just decided to lay down in the sand and have a good roll for himself! Luckily I was able to jump off before the rolling part…!

  3. I am a land locked Minnesotan. We are the land of water, rivers and lakes. But ahhh the magical seascapes have taken hold of my imagination. Your quotes are marvelous.
