evening fog

fog3546-2I have seen them riding seaward on the waves
Combing the white hair of the waves blown back
When the wind blows the water white and black.

We have lingered in the chambers of the sea
By sea-girls wreathed with seaweed red and brown
Till human voices wake us, and we drown.

  1. I am having one of those days where I really long to be transported right where you are, standing on the shore watching the fog roll in. This is a fabulous photo Gunta. 🙂

    • The ever changing play between light and water never ceases to amaze me. It’s the calm sunny cloudless days that can be a bit more challenging to shoot. Thanks for stopping and saying…. 😉

    • OK… I’m really confused now. Googling “fog comes on little cat feet”, comes up saying that Carl Sandburg wrote that poem, but Robert Frost also comes up associated with it somehow. I can’t make heads or tails out of it.
