the next gathering of the gulls…

this time the agenda was a bit foggy…..Bandon-6218meeting is adjourned…Bandon-6222we’re out of here… pity the poor tourists or photographer hoping to catch a coastal sunset… 😦

    • I love the fog, too. In addition to these characters on the beach, there’s a parking lot by the jetty that I call the gull parking lot. Seems like the gulls like to hang out there during storms. But, as in the first shot here, there’s always the outliers facing in the opposite direction.

  1. These are amazing shots, Gunta. It’s like some kind of Brigadoon, all eerily spectacular, desolate and full of life at the same time, and you can hear the place, quiet but for the gull cries, the lapping water, all muffled by that fog. Really something. Bravo for braving the day to see this and send it out to us all.

    • Thanks, Barbara. Exactly as you describe it except for the “braving the day” part. I headed out there to cool off while everywhere else up here was getting too warm for my liking, I love the cool mist and the stillness of this sort of weather or atmosphere.

  2. Good pictures Gunta. I like the way the gulls all stand and face the same way, I read somewhere that this is about maximising the heat from the sun, but it looks fairly misty in your shots!
