another sunset

“A large drop of sun lingered on the horizon and then dripped over and was gone, and the sky was brilliant over the spot where it had gone, and a torn cloud, like a bloody rag, hung over the spot of its going. And dusk crept over the sky from the eastern horizon, and darkness crept over the land from the east.”
― John SteinbeckThe Grapes of Wrath

Wishing those of you on the East Coast well through the coming storm…

  1. Such stunning images. What a beach it is! The Oregon tourist board should hire you. And, Steinbeck, of course, the great master, can describe a sunset, or pretty much anything else for that matter, better than anyone else.

    • Wow… I consider that high praise, indeed. It was you who encouraged me to stick around for that bit after the sun dipped below the horizon. It’s made for some very interesting captures. Steinbeck is very much a great master and adds so much to the images.
