another setting sun

“Bursts of gold on lavender melting into saffron. It’s the time of day when the sky looks like it has been spray-painted by a graffiti artist.”

Note the tiny figure standing witness to the setting sun…

  1. ”Melted” is exactly the right word! I wonder what it tastes like, I almost do! I also again ponder for a little while on the amount of work involved thinking about getting the right picture in the right place at the right time, and then finding the right words to go with it. I admire that very much.

    • I have to chuckle at your comment about the amount of “work” involved because, really, it’s all magic. The beach draws me like a magnet and then presents me with these phenomenal shots (all opportunistic, sans tripod)…. though many are snapped, few are chosen. Then a cursory google adds the finishing touch I hope you’re still able to admire the play rather than the work…. 😉

    • I thought that was mighty thoughtful of that person to be standing out there. Iif you look to the left of him (her?) you can see spray crashing above the cliffs. The sea was, once again, kind of wild this evening and I worried that he might get knocked off that ledge he was standing on. It was pretty hard to tell just how close those waves were crashing with the sun blinding me.
