Meandering with camera…
Very nice, Gunta…along your Coquille River…?
Thank you. It seems you’re getting to know my geography here! I headed home along the south bank that day where the road stays closer to the river.
You’re welcome…and just a little familiar, yes. Love those riverine settings…living water.
sometimes if I’m lucky I catch one of these first thing in the morning
Somehow your comment made me think like catching a fish. You don’t mean having one of these for breakfast? 😉
oh no I’d never do that – they’re very majestic birds and I love seeing their huge wings gracing the skyline in their unhurried fashion – makes me think all is right with the world
I initially did a double-take when I read your comment, but then decided you didn’t mean it that way. I’ve probably been hanging with too many fishermen. 😉
Thank you MRose.
Lovely photo, Gunta. he posed so nicely for you, probably showing his best side. 😀
Yes, I thought that was rather nice of him to sit there so beautifully while I rolled down the car window! 😉
Lovely! They are such regal birds. You see them here walking behind tractors in the vines, fishing for worms. They’re taller than the vines and it is strange to see their heads poking up above 🙂
Ours are usually hanging out along the river banks, or the flooded fields in the winter. It would be fun to see their heads poking above the vines as you described.
Nicely caught there.
