boats in the Bay

Coos Bay and North Bend are two cities perched along the Bay. It’s impossible to distinguish where one ends and the other begins unless you happen to notice the signs announcing city limits. They are the closest thing to a big city near me. It was such a lovely day that I opted to do a bit of meandering and snapped some pics while I was at it.Coos Bay (the Bay, not the City) from the North Bend BoardwalkA Corps of Engineers boat passes by a cormorant drying its wings. The Coast Guard heading out of the BayJust beyond North Bend and closer to the mouth of the Bay sits Charleston, another sleepy fishing village.Just a small part of the fishing fleet…Of course there’s always this alternative….

  1. AWESOME WORK!!…..these shots are so clear, crisp and OH SO….inviting….all this ‘sunshine’ is making me positively giddy and since Kai and I are stuck inside for a while…your photographs….are the next best thing to being out there….THANK YOU !!

    • Thanks Kirsten. All this sunshine is almost getting right to edge of being a bit too warm for me. I’m having to leave Sissy at home more when I go out now because of the heat.

      • yep….I had to leave Kai at home yesterday when I went out to run some errands….I am one of those…who like a little sunshine…mixed in with clouds and cool temps….but…that’s just me.

  2. What a nice little trip this morning…thank you, Miss Gunta, for the beautiful pics and vacation from my cubicle. The IT guy did bring me a new 19″ monitor this morning, so it’s a bigger and better picture for visiting. :)

      • I do appreciate it…and yes, a whole 19..and I didn’t mention my private pursuits when sitting here at the county’s desk looking at their computer screen…. ;)

    • I can’t help but wonder if it’s the same Charleston. We have lots of them. Mine is on the Pacific Ocean in Oregon. The more famous one over here is on the Atlantic in South Carolina.

Tell me what you think....?
